Hold Me Tight® Online Couples Weekend Intensive
One weekend. Eight focused hours. A new way to hold each other through what's hard.
Most couples aren't short on love. They've just stopped speaking the same language. The same fight keeps coming back, one of you reaches and the other pulls away, and somewhere along the way you started feeling lonely next to the person you chose.
This private weekend intensive is based on Hold Me Tight®: Conversations for Connection, the relationship education program developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy. It's for couples who want to understand what's really happening between them and learn how to turn back toward each other.
We meet online, so you can join from anywhere in the world.
Is this for you?
You love each other, but you feel more like roommates than partners
The topic changes, but the argument feels the same
One of you wants more closeness, the other needs more space
Desire or physical connection has changed, especially in midlife
You've read the books and tried the tips, and they fall apart under stress
You want focused time together, not months of weekly sessions
What we'll work on together
Hold Me Tight® is grounded in attachment science, the research on how humans bond and what helps couples feel secure. The program is built around a series of guided conversations. I also weave in body-based tools, because connection doesn't only happen in words. It happens in your nervous systems.
-
You'll map the cycle that keeps pulling you apart and learn to see it as the problem, instead of each other.
-
We'll explore the softer feelings and old sensitivities beneath anger, criticism, and shutting down, and where they come from.
-
You'll replay a recent painful moment together, slowly, and practice repairing it in a new way.
-
You'll learn how to ask for what you need without blame, and how to respond when your partner reaches for you.
-
We'll make space for wounds that never quite healed, and practice the kind of repair that actually lets go.
-
We'll talk openly about physical and sexual connection, how stress and changing bodies affect it, and how to bring closeness back without pressure.
-
You'll leave with a plan for protecting your connection long after the weekend ends.
