Individual Therapy in Show Low & Across Arizona and Missouri
For the seasons when life shifts and you're ready to stop living in old patterns.
Individual therapy is available for adults living in Arizona and Missouri. I work from an Emotionally Focused, Somatic Experiencing, and Somatic Sex Therapy lens. Together, we will look at your attachment patterns, slow things down, and pay attention to what is going on within your nervous system. Not just what you think, but what your body has been carrying.
Here are some of the places we may start:
-
Many of my clients grew up being the responsible one. Maybe you were the one who kept the peace, took care of a parent, or learned early that your needs came last. As an adult, that can look like saying yes when you mean no, overgiving in relationships, and feeling exhausted and resentful without knowing why.
People pleasing isn't a personality flaw. It is a nervous system that learned keeping others happy was the safest option. Together, we will help your body feel safe enough to say no, to ask for what you need, and to stop performing for the people around you.
-
Midlife has a way of asking big questions. Who am I now? Is this the life I want? For some, those questions lead to the end of a marriage or long-term relationship. For others, it is the kids leaving home, a career shift, or simply realizing the old way of living doesn't fit anymore.
If you are healing after a breakup or divorce, we will make space for the grief, the anger, and the relief that sometimes comes with it. And when you are ready to date again, we will look at your patterns so you are not repeating the same relationship with a different person. Dating in midlife can feel awkward and exciting all at once. You don't have to figure it out alone.
-
If you grew up in a household where your emotional needs were not met, you may have learned to shut down, stay on high alert, or take care of everyone else first. Those patterns made sense then. They may not be working for you now.
Together, we will slow down and notice what your nervous system does when you feel stressed, rejected, or overwhelmed. You will learn how to calm your body, understand your reactions, and respond to life from a steadier place.
-
Perimenopause can sneak up on you. Maybe you are waking at 3 a.m. and can't fall back asleep. Maybe anxiety showed up out of nowhere, or you are snapping at the people you love and don't recognize yourself. Your body may ache in new ways, and your brain may feel foggy.
You are not going crazy. Hormonal changes hit the nervous system hard, and a tired, activated body has a harder time feeling calm, connected, or like itself. Together, we will work on calming your nervous system, making sense of what is changing, and finding your footing again. I am happy to work alongside your doctor or menopause provider.

You can be lonely in a crowded room, and you can be lonely next to your partner. Some of my clients are in relationships where they feel unseen or dismissed. Others have built full lives and still feel like no one really knows them.
Loneliness often has roots in how we learned to connect, or not connect, growing up. We will explore your attachment patterns, what makes it hard to let people in, and how to build relationships that feel more mutual and secure. If you are partnered and your partner isn't ready for couples therapy, individual work is a great place to begin.
My approach is
Gentle: we go at the speed of your nervous system
Compassionate: you will be met with curiosity in this space
Relational: we explore your attachment system and how it shapes your relationships
Evidence-based and ethically sound
I work with adults across diverse identities and relationship structures, including LGBTQIA+ and non-traditional partnerships, and with both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients.
My clients tend to be in touch with themselves, motivated for change, and genuinely wanting things to be better than they are right now.
