Hold Me Tight® Hold Me Just Right: Online Couples Intensive for Touch & Sexual Connection
Desire changed. Touch feels complicated. One weekend to find your way back to each other's bodies.
Sex is often the first place couples feel the distance, and the hardest place to talk about. One partner reaches and feels rejected. The other pulls away and feels pressured. Touch starts to feel loaded, so you avoid it altogether. Before long, you're lonely in the most intimate part of your relationship.
This private weekend intensive is based on Hold Me Tight® Hold Me Just Right: The Dance of Touch and Sexual Connection in Intimate Relationships, a relationship education program from the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. It's built on the Hold Me Tight® approach developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, and it's designed specifically for couples addressing sexual connection.
We meet online, so you can join from anywhere in the world.
Is this for you?
One of you wants sex more than the other, and it's become a source of tension
Desire changed in midlife, during perimenopause, or after years together
Touch feels like pressure instead of comfort
You struggle to talk about sex without it turning into a fight or a shutdown
Sex feels routine, rushed, or has quietly disappeared
You love each other and want to feel close physically again
What we'll work on together
This intensive looks at sex and touch through the lens of attachment: how feeling safe and connected shapes desire, and how the dance between you plays out in the bedroom. As a Certified Sex Therapist with somatic training, I also bring in what your bodies need to relax, open, and feel pleasure.
-
You'll see the pattern that plays out around sex and touch, and learn to recognize it as the problem instead of each other.
-
We'll explore the fears, hurts, and needs beneath rejection, pressure, and avoidance.
-
You'll practice sharing what you want, what you miss, and what feels hard, without blame or shame.
-
Touch without pressure You'll learn how to rebuild affection and touch that feel safe, so closeness doesn't have to lead anywhere to matter.
We'll talk openly about how stress, sleep, aging, and hormonal shifts affect desire, and how to adapt together.
-
We'll talk openly about physical and sexual connection, how stress and changing bodies affect it, and how to bring closeness back without pressure.
-
You'll leave with a plan for protecting your sexual and emotional connection after the weekend.
