Therapy for Women in Show Low & the White Mountains
You're the one everyone counts on. The strong one, the capable one, the one who holds it all together. But lately, holding it together is taking everything you have. Therapy at EROS is a place to finally set it down. I work with women in Show Low, across Arizona's White Mountains, and online throughout Arizona and Missouri.
Does this sound like you?
You feel unsafe in your relationship, or in your own body, and can't explain why.
You're always on alert, scanning for what might go wrong.
You go numb, blank or far away when things get hard.
Your feelings are intense. They come fast and big, and sometimes they scare you.
You want closeness, and then you want everyone to leave you alone.
You say yes when you mean no, then feel resentful or empty.
You keep waiting for someone to rescue you, and it keeps not happening.
You find yourself asking, "What's wrong with me?"
Nothing is wrong with you. These are the ways your nervous system learned to keep you safe. They made sense once. Now we can help your body learn something new.
Women I often work with
Single moms carrying it all
Women leaving, or recovering from, a painful relationship or divorce
Women in a new relationship who can't stop bracing for it to go wrong
Women whose work keeps them in crisis mode, like first responders
Women going through a shift in identity, sexuality or faith
Women who grew up too fast, caring for everyone else
What we work on
Calming your nervous system. Learning to feel steady and safe, not just think your way there.
Healing the past. Gentle, body-based relational trauma work, without reliving every detail. [Relational Trauma Healing →]
Riding big emotions. Tools to feel your feelings without being swept away by them.
Boundaries. Saying no without guilt, and yes without resentment. [Boundaries →]
Relationships. Understanding your patterns so you can choose love that feels safe. [Singles & Dating →]
Coming home to yourself. Discovering who you are when you're not performing.
Beneath the thinking mind
You may already understand your patterns. Maybe you've read the books or done therapy before. But understanding doesn't always change how your body reacts in the moment. My work goes beneath the thinking mind to the nervous system, using somatic, polyvagal-informed and brain-based approaches. That's where lasting change happens.
This is for women who are ready
This work asks something of you: honesty, curiosity, and willingness to take ownership of your healing. You don't have to be fearless. You just have to be ready to stop waiting to be saved.

Therapy for women throughout the White Mountains
In-person sessions are at my Show Low office, convenient to Pinetop-Lakeside, Snowflake, Taylor and Heber-Overgaard. Online sessions are available anywhere in Arizona and Missouri, a good fit for busy moms and anyone who wants extra privacy in a small town.
Questions from women
I've done therapy before and it didn't help. Why would this be different? Many women come to me after talk therapy that helped them understand their patterns but didn't change how they feel. Working with the nervous system adds what talk alone can miss.
My emotions feel too intense. Can you handle that? Yes. I welcome emotional intensity. We'll build tools together so your feelings become something you can move through, not something you fear.
I'm a single mom with no time. Can therapy fit my life? Yes. Online sessions from home, or even from a parked car on your lunch break, make therapy possible on a full schedule.
Is everyone welcome? Yes. All backgrounds, faiths, identities and relationships are welcome here.
