My Approach to Relationship Therapy

Most of us were never taught how to love well. We learned from our families, our faith communities, movies and trial and error. My approach helps you understand what you learned, keep what serves you, and build something better, in your relationship with yourself, with your partner and in your intimacy.

Attachment: the need to feel safe with someone

We're wired to need people who are there for us. When that connection feels uncertain, we protect ourselves by pushing harder, pulling away or shutting down. Understanding your attachment patterns, and your partner's, turns painful cycles into something you can change together. [Attachment Healing →]

The body: where patterns live

Insight alone doesn't always change how your body reacts in a hard moment. Using somatic, polyvagal-informed and brain-based tools, we help your nervous system feel safe enough to stay present, open and connected.

Generational healing: the patterns we inherit

The way your parents and grandparents loved, fought, coped and kept secrets can echo for generations. Maybe you were the peacekeeper, the helper or the one who never needed anything. We gently trace those patterns so you can choose which ones end with you. [Generational Healing →]

Both sides of the street

In couples work, no one is the villain. Each partner owns their part, and each partner's pain matters. Even after an affair, we explore what led to the rupture without excusing the harm.

No rescuer required

Many of us grew up believing the right partner would make us feel whole. I help clients let go of waiting to be rescued and build their own steadiness, so they can choose partnership from a place of strength, not need.

Intimacy belongs in the conversation

Desire, pleasure and sexuality are part of a healthy relationship. With doctoral training in Clinical Sexology, I welcome these conversations with warmth, clarity and no judgment.

Mind, body and spirit

Many clients in the White Mountains want their faith, spirituality and intuition honored in therapy. Whether you pray, meditate, trust your gut, or are still figuring out what you believe, we work within what matters to you.

What sessions are like

Sessions are warm, collaborative and paced to what you can handle. We'll talk, notice what's happening in your body, and practice new ways of responding, so change happens in the room, not just in theory.
